Back in the early ‘90s, long before I was a published novelist, I had an exciting job in background acting in Vancouver, BC, my birthplace.
One of my favorite projects was the hit ‘80s TV show, THE COMMISH, starring Michael Chiklis, Theresa Saldana, Kaj-Erik Eriksen, Peter Outerbridge, Nicholas Lea and so many other awesome actors. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Michael Chicklis and Stephen J. Cannell, the writer/producer. I’ve always wondered if they thought I was one of the supporting actors, ones with lines. I shook their hands, a bit stunned, that me—an “extra”—was meeting two “artists” I admired.
I’m in a few episodes, if you can spot me. Most were walk-bys, from my recollection, with the exception of one episode, which I’ve never forgotten. I’m featured in this episode very visibly. But you’ll need Amazon Prime Video to watch THE COMMISH.
So here’s your challenge:
